German economy slowing in the second half of 2016
Ministry spokeswoman German economy indicated that the country's economic growth will slow in the second half of 2016 compared with the first six months of the year, adding that the downward risks abroad has increased because of Britain's decision to secede from the European Union.
The ministry said in a monthly "improvement in the German economy report is still strong but the pace of growth will be slower in the second half of the year compared to the first half."
The spokeswoman for the ministry said that Europe's largest economy will grow rapidly "moderate."
The German economic output increased by 0.4% in the second quarter after rising 0.7% in the quarter, which lasted from January to March.
